Impact Generation Partners invests in, advises and supports enterprises that deliver financial as well as social and/or environmental returns. In addition, we educate and advise a range of investors on how to engage in impact investing. We are passionate about and committed to building the impact investing ecosystem in Australia.



Advisory

We provide corporate advisory services to for-purpose enterprises including: assisting them to become investor ready; raising capital (debt and equity) through our deep network of investors; mergers and acquisitions; investor relations (including reporting on both financial and social/environmental metrics); and on-going strategic support.



Investment

We invest in enterprises whose innovative and disruptive products or services intrinsically solve social or environmental problems as well as provide financial returns. We back passionate founders and teams who are obsessed with building successful businesses that provide a measureable positive social and/or environmental impact.



Ecosystem

We regularly contribute thought-leadership and speak on panels and at conferences and summits within the startup, philanthropic, family office and impact investing communities.

What we believe

We are motivated by our belief that the companies that solve social or environmental challenges will be the companies that will also do well financially. It is our view that enterprises can generate above market returns as well as providing social or environmental impact. We believe that, in conjunction with philanthropy, investment capital is necessary to tackle the vast challenges the world is facing. We work with enterprises that are solving these issues and the people and institutions that want to invest in these businesses.

Our portfolio

Who we are

Quentin and Amanda Miller established ImpactGen in early 2015, combining their respective skills in the finance and philanthropic sectors and their shared passion to harness resources to create change. They are committed to applying their experience, skills and networks to help build the impact investing ecosystem in Australia

Quentin holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Economics from Monash University and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Valuation from the Securities Institute of Australia. He has over 25 years experience in investment banking and corporate finance. During his 17 years at UBS, Quentin advised public and private companies and private equity firms on a variety of strategic and financing initiatives. Quentin is also the Managing Director of Intrinsic Partners, a boutique independent corporate advisory practice. Quentin sits on the Board of Hireup.

Amanda holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Law (Honours) from Monash University and started her career practicing corporate law at Allens. She then moved into the philanthropic sector working with not-for-profit organisations and in philanthropic services. Amanda is currently a Co Chair of Philanthropy Australia, the peak membership body for philanthropic foundations, individuals and not for profits in Australia. She is the Deputy Chair of the Expert Panel of the Federal Government's Social Impact Investing Taskforce and a committee member of the Impact Investment Forum, an initiative of the Responsible Investment Association of Australasia (RIAA).
